Basically it’s a very simple step-by-step guide to create Personal Folders (PSTs).

<Grin>… I don’t like Personal Folders, so personally I prefer to disencourage its use. There are some measures you can take to prevent your users from creating new PSTs. Read the article Dealing with .pst Files if you want to know more about this.

Another common mistake is that users end up by storing PSTs on some network share. That is not recommended, not even supported by Microsoft. The Microsoft Windows Performance Team has recently blogged about this: Network Stored PST files … don’t do it!

In conclusion, I know that PST files can become really handy in some situations, but I think its use is sometimes wrongly encouraged.
