Microsoft Certified Architect: Messaging Program Overview

So you want to be among the absolutely best Exchange Consultants in the world? No I’m not talking about the Exchange MVPs, but Microsoft’s new Messaging Architect Program (based on the Exchange Ranger program which currently holds 49 individuals).

I’m tempted but 25.000$ is a lot of money and six weeks in Redmond is a long time away from the family :)

I have been involved with the people in the ranger program for some time and this is a huge stride in the right direction. The training is intense and far beyond anything you could get from a CPLS or other training program. The immersion approach and high price point are really just side affects of the program\’s quality. I\’ll admit, I have not been through the program myself, but in the end the people I have worked with that have never forget what they learned and who they learned it with.

    Interesting…

Did you ever apply for the program? Or got recommended by others?

It’s 3 weeks on, 1 week off (I went home that week - to sleep), then 2 weeks back on again. It flies by. Your family might not agree, but you won’t have time to worry about it. ;-)

Wow that sounds almost painfull Matt :)

Did you BTW managed to get through the program? Are you an Exchange Ranger now?

Do you also know whether an official list of current Exchange Rangers exists?

I did, and I am Henrik. Best 6 weeks ever, really fantastic time and learned an amazing amount.

There’s not a public list of MCA’s, not sure if there will be one day, or if we are going to keep it that way. I’ll try and find out for you.

There are plans for a list and also to allow MCA’s to publish their Bio to ms.com. No idea about timings though.

My son just passed and became the 75th Exchange Ranger in the world.
The testing was grueling, and of the 15 international people in his class, he was the only one who passed both the technical and oral testing. He says the oral testing was the more difficult of the two.
Don’t expect to pass unless you have real life experience in consulting.
He thinks he will get a tailored leather jacket from Redmond.

Congratulations with your son, you should indeed be proud :)

I heard that the program now last 8 weeks instead of 6 like was the case previously. Can you confirm how long time it lasted?
