Well the plan is not to have thousands of thousands MCMs. The MCM certification is for individuals who wants to differentiate themselves from the way too many MCSEs/MCITPs out there.

$20K probably sounds like a lot of money but when you take into consideration this price includes 3 weeks of education 10 hours/day, the price is actually fair compared to MOC training fee etc.

Personally I work for a relatively small consulting business, whom benefits a lot from my Ranger/MCM certification. Many large enterprise organizations that needs to perform a migration/design/critsit troubleshooting often wants the best of the bests.

Overpriced.....

Better to get your degree for the same money. Even CCIE's are underpaid considering the trouble, this will end worse with $20K as the pricetag. Expect less than 5000 MCM's in the world as most companies won't spend this much on any employee. This is a plan doomed to failure, I.T. is not a rich man's career anymore. Wake up Microsoft, this will fail!!!!!
