Yes I agree we have waited far too long for the mobile device providers to ship an updated ROM that includes the MSFP (Messaging Security Feature Pack) also known as the AKU2 (Adaption Kit Update 2). For those of you who should not know this the MSFP, among other things, allows us to make use of the new DirectPush technology included in Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2 (I’m currently finishing an article covering DirectPush in-depth, it should get publish here on MSExchange.org in a near future).
A little over a week ago i-mate released an updated ROM for the K-JAM device, and will release an update for the JasJar in a few days (should already have been released in the beginning of this week). Today Orange UK released an updated ROM build for the SPV C600 device, which you can download here.
As I promised you in the February edition of our newsletter, you can look forward to plenty of Exchange 12 (E12) related articles here on MSExchange.org in a near future. If you haven’t already noticed, the first one which shows you how to do relatively simple Exchange management tasks (such as moving mailboxes etc.) via the Exchange 12 Management shell (which are based on MSH aka Monad) were published today!
Alright finally I have decided to start a blog here on MSExchange.org. There are several reasons behind this decision, some of you might be aware I’ve been blogging since 2002 (over at my Danish Exchange site - www.exchange-faq.dk), back when blogging still was a very new concept. But since Denmark isn’t among the biggest countries in the world, I thought I would try to reach an even larger crowd by starting a blog in English here on MSExchange.org too.
The main purpose of this blog is get even closer to all you readers of my articles, as well as all you Exchange admin’s who hangs around and post interesting questions/issues on the message boards.
I look forward to post about interesting Exchange (mainly Exchange 2003/12) related subjects/issues, and to communicate with you in an additional way
